If you are reading this … you have either booked the Capri Theater for an event, or … you are considering renting our venue. With our first phase of renovations completed, our goal is to make the Capri Theater accessible to a diverse array of artistic and community uses.

As owner and operator of the Capri Theater, the Plymouth Christian Youth Center is not a “presenter.” With the exception of our Legends concert series and our artistic programs for youth, we are not in the business of presenting concerts, plays, etc. Instead, we want to make the Capri available to you at the most affordable rates we can offer.

PCYC’s mission is “to enrich the skills, prospects and spirit of North Minneapolis youth and adults in partnership with families and communities,” and PCYC’s strategic plan calls for the Capri to “engage the community, housing and retail developers, churches, nonprofits, and public partners to create and realize a vision of the Penn/West Broadway node as an arts and culture hub.”

We have a small and dedicated artistic team (all experienced professionals in the Twin Cities arts scene) guiding this vision for the Capri: Capri Theater Director Karl Reichert and Artistic Associates Dennis Spears and Kevin West.

While some of our rental clients are experienced event presenters, we welcome the newcomers to the arts scene, and we’re here to help you succeed. During the next few months we will be creating tools to assist you in setting up your event and promoting it.

If you want to inquire about renting the Capri, please submit our online rental inquiry form. If you have a date already booked, please help us help you by filling out our online promotions worksheet, which help guides you through the basic information we need to help you build visibility for your event on our website and on the theater’s marquee.

We look forward to working with you!
